SHEA Power Training Course

Join our one-day SHEA Power training course and boost your knowledge, understanding, and behavioural awareness around workplace safety and environmental law.

This course helps you stay compliant while embedding best practices in health, safety, and environmental awareness. It fully supports HSE’s essential principles for high safety performance. With focused, industry-specific content, it aims to improve workforce safety and lower the risks and costs tied to injury, illness, or accidents.

Once you complete the course successfully, you’ll gain EUSR registration for SHEA Power, valid for three years.

SHEA Power training course structure:

The SHEA Power training course consists of eight EUSR course modules – six core modules, plus two additional modules specific to the power industry. Each module is assessed via a multiple-choice test.

Throughout the day, candidates will take part in interactive, trainer-led activities. These are designed to demonstrate their level of knowledge, understanding, and behavioural awareness.

Outcome from the course:

Participants who pass the course will gain an EUSR SHEA Power certification, valid for three years from the date of assessment. Importantly, SHEA registration provides access to CSCS-controlled sites for utilities work.

There is no need to complete a separate touchscreen test or apply independently for a CSCS card, as this certification qualifies delegates for a CSCS-certified card issued by EUSR.

Core Modules:

  • Module 1: Understanding our workplace responsibilities
  • Module 2: Understanding the effects of our work on the environment
  • Module 3: Identifying and controlling risks
  • Module 4: Common hazards in the workplace
  • Module 5: Occupational health hazards
  • Module 6: Responding to emergencies

Additional Modules:

  • Module 7: Power generation and distribution
  • Module 8: Power industry hazards
